A family portrait session back home

To be honest, I'm not much of a family photographer. In fact, this was my first ever family session. I was visiting home and my aunt and uncle were in need of some updated family photos. We struggled a bit to come up with a location, but proved you don't need epic backdrops when you have a cutie like my cousin in the pictures. We ended up shooting in a familiar place for all of us, my grandparents' yard. I think sticking close to home made the shoot more fun and comfortable than if we had ventured out somewhere none of us had ever been. Plus, it was a hot day, so we were able to head straight inside to the a/c!

I can't wait to take new photos for them next year! I'm already thinking of location ideas.
