The lovely concierge team at Flytographer has been providing even more coverage for clients and photographers alike by having a dedicated European shoot concierge. They have been sending one of their Victoria, Canada-based team members to spend the summer in one or a few European destinations, meaning they are covering an additional time zone, available to help clients book shoots and answer any questions that may arise in the process.
So, imagine my excitement when I received an email from Sandra, who I had worked with to plan shoots previously but had never met in person, saying that she would be spending some time in Budapest! I sent her some recommendations and advice, but was really hoping we’d find time to hang out and get to know each other a bit…and we did! We did all kinds of nerdy things while she was here. We attended an organ concert at St. Stephen’s Basilica, explored Bauhaus architecture together during the annual Budapest 100 event, and spent some time reading in the insanely gorgeous Ervin Szabó Metropolitan Library (seriously, check it out — it used to serve as an aristocrat’s palace).
I had such a great time getting to know Sandra while she was in Budapest. It was her first time traveling solo and her wonderful crew of friends flew in to join her at the end of her stay here…and I got to photograph them (for Flytographer, of course) just hours before they headed to the airport to their next destinations!
“I am so thankful to Dana, for lending me her skill and efforts to capture this very special trip for me. It started out as a solo adventure and I really felt like I had a friend, a resource in the city (which was such a comfort as a first-time female solo traveler). So the city of Budapest grew in importance as I felt more brave and confident in it and in myself. Then my friends joined me for a few days, and it became a different trip entirely! I decided to book a Flytographer shoot to capture the wonderful memories of my solo time, and did so as a gift for my friends to have wonderful photos after coming all that way to see me. They were nervous at first, having never had a photoshoot done and not knowing how comfortable they were, but the results are so amazing and they cannot believe how much they love the photos! We all want to print every single photo, they are just so gorgeous! It was a joy to play and sing and dance during the shoot, encouraged by our expert on laughter and smiling. We couldn't be happier with the entire experience - thanks again to Dana!” — Sandra
Come back to Budapest asap, Sandra, and bring all your friends!
