This past weekend, I joined Daniel Karczag Wedding Photography in Omisalj, Croatia (on the island of Krk) for Katie and Damien's wedding. Besides working hard, we also took a few extra days to hang out and enjoy Croatia. It was a great opportunity for me to get to know Daniel and his cinematographer Szilard better and to enjoy a little seaside holiday. Of course, I took several different film cameras with me and had varying results. I took my Pentax Pro Sport Date (a fully automatic 35mm camera), my Holga 120N and my Mamiya M645 Super.
Omisalj is a very small town on the Adriatic Sea, so we had about five restaurants to choose from and ended up sticking to one exclusively, Villa Eva. The restaurants in Omisalj served mostly pizza and seafood.
The view of the sea from the restaurants and the beaches was pretty amazing.
When we weren't working hard on Katie and Damien's wedding, we had plenty of time to swim in the sea and dry in the sun.
I even convinced the majority of our party to take a "dive" off a cliff. (None of our jumps could be described as dives so much as terrified leaps.)
And we were treated to more beautiful sunsets and sunrises than I thought possible in a lifetime.
Thanks for the memories, Croatia.
